Summary of Interests/Message

40-DON continued.....
Frederick and Herbert were the sons of
Joseph Smith and Ann Wainwright
Joseph & Ann were married at the
baptist Chapel Bramley July 22, 1871.

Joseph was born about 1847.
According to the 1851 Census, he was born in Bramley. He was the son of Benjamin SMITH
of Rothwell parish and Mary or Marian.

Benjamin SMITH was Christened
March 14, 1806, Rothwell Parish,
& the son of James Smith and Mary ??.
I haven't found out anything of Benjamin's parents, James and Mary. I did find some of their family Christened at Dewsbury but not my gg grandfather. Just a couple of his siblings. All I know about Benjamin is Rothwell Parish.

More about my grandfather Fred's brother:
Herbert Wainwright SMITH
born February 13, 1874,
Haley's Yard Bramley.
He married Elizabeth Ann BURNELL.

Both Frederick and Herbert had their mother's maiden name as their second name and thats the only way I found out this much information.

Their mother, Ann Smith nee Wainwright,
died in 1878 and from what information
I have gathered - Joseph's sister, Sarah, raised Herbert, and Frederick stayed with his father.
(Aunt Sarah married a John Brook)
Seeking further information for......

1) HERBERT WAINWRIGHT SMITH
(born 1874 Bramley) and married in Bramley
to Elizabeth Ann BURNELL.

As Herbert was my grandfather's
brother but raised by their aunt Sarah,
I know nothing except his marriage
certificate. I would appreciate any information on the whereabouts of Herbert Wainwright
SMITHS place of burial. Herbert lived in
Bramley as far as I know also that
he possibly died in the mid 1940's.

I was wondering what the names were
of cemeteries close to Armley and
Bramley and if anyone can tell me how
close they are together? Looking at
a map has been no help to me I am
afraid.

2) JOSEPH SMITH, the father of
Herbert and brother Fred (my grandfather)
A record of Joseph's birth c1847? I
dont know of a middle name for Joseph.
His wife Ann nee Wainwright died when the
boys were small. I haven't been able to
find out if Joseph ever remarried which
I think he must have.
I just don't know where else to look for
any information of these 2. Tried everything.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
